# **Overview**

The Settlement Report is a breakdown of the total amount paid to you on that day.

You will only receive a Settlement Report on days where a Settlement Payout has been paid to you.

The report shows a summary and itemised lists of the transactions and fees involved in the settlement.

It includes:

- Successful transactions
- Transaction fees
- Settlement fee
- Dishonoured transaction fees
- Dishonour fees
- Open claim fees
- Successful claim fees
- Refunded claims
- Late rejections

If the successful transaction fees and settlement fee are to be invoiced, the amount will appear with “(invoiced)” in brackets next to it.

While often the Settlement Payout and Settled Amount will match, they do not represent the same figure. There is an important distinction between them, so let’s go ahead and breakdown the report to clarify.

# **Settlement Payout**

The Settlement Payout is the amount Biz Core transfers to your nominated bank account.

# **Settlement Summary**

When looking at this summary, it’s important to remember that it is a combination of all payments received, regardless of the method used to make those payments. So, direct debits and cards etc. are combined.

| **Successful Debits Count** | The count of successful debits included in this settlement | Count all successful debits |
| **Successful Debits Amount** | The total amount of successful debits included in this settlement | Sum all successful transaction amounts (including fees) |
| **Transaction Fees** | The total amount of transaction fees charged for successful debits | Sum all successful transaction fee amounts |
| **Settlement Fee** | Settlement Fee charged for admin handling | - |
| **Settled Amount** | The total amount settled from the successful debits | Successful debits - transaction fees - settlement fee |

> 📝 Invoiced Transaction and Settlement Fees are not subtracted from the Successful Debits Amount.

# **Other Fees, Refunded Claims & Late Rejections**

These amounts are withheld from the Settled Amount.

| **Dishonoured Transaction Fees** | Total count and amount of transaction fees charged on declined payments |
| **Dishonour Fees** | Total count and amount of dishonour fees charged incurred by dishonoured payment |
| **Opened Claim Fees** | Total amount of claim fees charged for transactions having a claim opened.<br>Transactions will be in the Under Claim status |
| **Successful Claim Fees** | Total amount of successful claim fees charged for successful claims and chargebacks |
| **Refunded Claims** | Total amount refunded to customer because of successful claims and chargebacks |
| **Late Rejections** | Total amount of transactions declined after being successful. These amounts were paid to you in a previous Settlement Payout |
| **TOTAL** | Total of all above |

> ℹ️ If an amount is too much to be withheld from the Settled Amount, it will not appear here, and instead show up on your monthly invoice. However, if it is a Refunded Claim or Late Rejection you will be invoiced in the next 5 business days as we need to recoup these amounts ASAP.

# **Itemised Transactions**

See page 2 onwards for an itemised list of transactions related to your Settlement Payout.

These are 2 separate lists:

- Itemised Successful Debits
- Itemised Other Fees, Refunded Claims & Late Rejections
