# **Overview**
When a Venture Record is [created](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1790083080/Create+New+Venture), users have a number of features available to assist with managing the venture. This document provides an overview of the Venture Summary and Record Toolbar. # **Venture Summary**
Every Venture is accompanied by a summary that is visible within the Workspace Record. After accessing a Venture Workspace Record, the summary will offer a concise overview of key details:
Starting from the top left and moving across to the right, the explanations of the summary information are as follows:
| **Heading** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| **Created Date** | The date the Venture record was created. |
| **Closed Date** | The date the Venture record status was changed to **Closed** |
| **Interest % p/a** | Percentage of interest being charged annually. Click the **Pencil **✏ icon to adjust and lock it with the **Padlock **🔒 icon. |
| **Interest Type** | Type of interest being charged, either compound or simple interest. This can be set in the [Venture Product fee settings](https://fsoftsolutions.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BCKB/pages/1790214145). |
| **Interest Freq** | The Interest Record Frequency set during the creation of the Venture. These interest periods are reflected in the [Accumulated Interest widget](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1819639815/Investors%2C+Accumulated+Interest%2C+Holds+and+Fees#Accumulated-Interest) for each investor. |
| **# of Investors** | Count of the number of investors currently associated with the Venture. |
| **Status** | The current status of the Venture, can be **Open** or **Closed**. Click the **Update Status ⇆ **button to change:

| **Principal Invested** | Total dollar amount invested by all investors. The calculation for this amount is:
`Principal Invested = Sum of all Principal Investments, Reinvestments, Payments and Adjustments` |
| **External Loan Inv** | Total dollar amount disbursed to the investee. The calculation for this amount is:
`External Loan Inv = Sum of all Loan Investments, Reinvestments, Payments and Adjustments` |
| **Pending Funds Held** | Total dollar amount that is currently held under the management fund, the calculation for this amount is:
`Pending Funds Held = Principal Invested - External Loan Inv` |
| **Paid Back** | Total dollar amount paid back by the investee. |
| **Paid Out** | Total dollar amount paid out to the investors. |
| **Interest Free Amt** | Total dollar amount of the Balance of investment that interest will not be charged on. The calculation for this amount is:
`Interest Free Amt = Sum of all Interest Free Amounts by each Investor`
> ℹ️ If the amount is higher than the Balance, then interest will not accrue. |
| **Interest Charged On** | Total dollar amount of the Balance of investment that interest will be charged on. The calculation for this amount is:
`Interest Charged On: Balance - Interest Free Amt`
> ℹ️ This amount will never go below $0.00 |
| **Interest Accrued** | Total dollar amount of interest accrued since inception of the Venture. |
| **Unpaid Interest** | Total dollar amount of unpaid interest. |
| **Balance** | The sum of all ledger entries. |
# **Record Toolbar**
Along to top of each Venture Record is the Record Toolbar, providing tools and features for managing the venture:
| **Tool** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
|  | Clicking this icon will add a direct URL link of the Venture Record to the user's clipboard, allowing them to share it or access the venture directly. |
|  | Clicking this icon will refresh the Venture Record, updating it to display the most recent information and ensuring real-time data accuracy. |
|  | Users can click this icon to add a note to the Venture Record, these will be added to the [Messages tab of the Side Panel](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1783857153/Side+Panel#Messages). |
|  | Clicking this icon will open the [Reminders tab of the Side Panel](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1783857153/Side+Panel#Reminders), allowing the user to add or manage reminders for the venture. |
|  | Clicking this icon will launch the document upload wizard, allowing users to upload documents, images or files to be stored in the [Documents tab of the venture’s Side Panel](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1783857153/Side+Panel#Documents). After launching the wizard users can click the **Choose files** button or drag and drop files into the **Drop Zone**, before clicking **Upload All** to add them to the record. |
|  | Users can click this icon to download a CSV file of the venture ledger to their device. The CSV file will contain a breakdown of each ledger entry. |
|  | Users can click this icon to [add a ledger entry](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1790312449/Venture+Ledger#Add-Ledger-Entry) to the venture ledger. |
