This article will teach you how to get a beneficial ownership report from Equifax for the purposes of screening new subscribers.

This site will be used to conduct a thorough background check of the company and identify the beneficial owners and if they are on any sanctions list or are a Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).
## Instructions
> ℹ️ You will need your own login to [vedacheck.com](http://vedacheck.com/), If you don’t have one please see a Manager to get one setup.

| Click on the Visualisation tab at the top left of the page. *A new tab will open and the page will appear.* |

| Before starting an investigation, search for the business using the top right search bar and ensure the details provided match the company/business name and the business is registered. **(TIP: You can toggle through the tabs highlighted in the pink rectangle to see more information)** |

| Once confirmed, click “Start Investigation” and 2 options will appear;
1. If you are investigating a Company, select “Company beneficial ownership”
2. If you are investigating a Sole Trader, Partnership or Association (e.g. Sporting clubs and not-for-profit groups), select “Start a general investigation” |  |
| For this example, we’re going to search for a company, enter the ACN or ABN. |  |
| Results should appear identical to your previous search. |  |
| Click the “Select Products” button. |  |
| Select “Company Beneficial Ownership” and click Next. |  |
| Click Order. |  |
| The following message will appear, click the X button and wait for the report to generate. |  |
| You will see a page that looks like this (NOTE: Depending on the complexity of the company structure, the visualisation can appear as a big web of companies and individuals) |  |
| If the P or S underneath an individuals name is highlighted a different colour, it means they are a PEP or on the Sanctions list and should be referred to the CEO. |  |
| Click on the View Company Beneficial Ownership report to download the PDF Report. |  |
> ✅ Congratulations! You successfully conducted a Beneficial Ownership Check. Ensure this report is uploaded to the subscribers file on Atlas CRM.
