# **Overview**

Biz Core allows users to manually end a payment agreement at any time, such as to conclude a customer's recurring subscription or membership.

## **Step 1 - Use Reference number to Find the Payment Agreement**

> ℹ️ Users who do not have the Payment Agreement Reference skip to **Step 2 - Use Email to Find the Payment Agreement**

Users can locate the Payment Agreement with the unique Reference number:

- Using the search bar at the top of the screen, users input this number and press Enter on their keyboard. The record corresponding to the reference number will appear in a dropdown menu, click to open it:

Once located, skip to **Step 5 - Close the Payment Agreement**.

## **Step 2 - Use Email address to Find the Payment Agreement**

Alternatively, users who do not have the Payment Agreement Reference number can find it using the customer’s email address:

- Using the search bar at the top of the screen, users input an email address and press Enter on their keyboard to search for the record. After successfully finding the corresponding customer record from the dropdown menu, click on it to proceed:

The customers full record will open, users should verify the identity details in the Customer pane on the left-hand side to ensure they have the correct record. 

> ℹ️ Users can also search for customer records by first-name, last-name or phone number while business accounts can be located by company name or trading name.

Once users have located the correct customer record, continue with **Step 3**.

## **Step 3 - Locate the Payment Agreement within the Customers Record**

To open the Payment Agreement from the Customer record:

- Users navigate to the Payments section on the left-hand side of the page, where a list of the customer's Payment Agreements will be displayed:

- Users can also use the dropdown menu to filter payments by their status. In this instance, since an active debit agreement is being closed, users can tick **Authorised** to narrow down the list of Agreements to only those that are active:

## **Step 4 - Open the Transaction Agreement Details**

Once the user has found the appropriate Payment Agreement to be closed within the Customers Record:

- They can click on the Payment Agreement Reference ID to open it:

This will open the Transaction Agreement Details where the user can view the Agreement Summary.

## **Step 5 - Close the Payment Agreement**

Within the Agreement Summary locate the **Authorised** status tile and click on the Update Status button:

- Users can select **CLOSED** from the options menu, the agreement will successfully terminate and no more debits will be attempted:

> ℹ️ Users will also have option to **SUSPENDED** a direct debit agreement if a customer wishes to temporarily pause their payments *(for example: taking a break from a gym membership)*.
