# **Overview**

This guide outlines the step-by-step process on how individual debits are transferred to the subscriber's designated Settlement Account as a single lump sum payment.

The direct debit process typically takes 2 business days to complete. For instance, if a payment is debited on Monday, the subscriber will receive it, along with all other debits made on the same day, in a lump sum Settlement Payout on Wednesday. However, if a payment is debited on Friday, the subscriber will receive the Settlement Payout on Tuesday. Please note that the direct debit process may take longer during National Public Holidays.

Additionally, subscribers will receive a Settlement Report via email, which provides a detailed breakdown of the payments included in the lump sum Settlement Payout. [Learn more about the Settlement Report](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1954938888/How+to+Read+the+Settlement%2FRejection+Report).

# **The Settlement Process**

Here is a real-world example of how payments are settled to the subscriber:

| **Day of the Week** | **Process Stage** |
| --- | --- |
| Monday | Three scheduled payments of $100 debited from three customers, totalling $300. |
| Wednesday | After deducting a $1.99 transaction fee from each debit ($100 - $1.99 = $98.01), the remaining amounts are deposited into the subscriber’s nominated Settlement Account.<br>In this case, the three debits combined result in a lump sum of $294.03 ($98.01 x 3). |
