# **Overview**

After the Customer Portal is [configured](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1993277441/Configuring+the+Customer+Portal) in Biz Core subscription and shared with customers via a URL link, or embedded into a website, it can be accessed to check on the status of an application, view details about loans or scheduled payments and more. This guide will explain how customers can access and navigate the Customer Portal.

# **Creating an Account**

After accessing the Portal via a URL shared with them, or navigating to where it has been embedded, customers will initially be met with the login screen. If this is their first time accessing the Customer Portal they will need to click the **Sign up now** link below the **Sign in **button:

Customers will now be taken to the Sign Up page:

They are now required to fill out the fields to register for the Customer Portal:

- **Email Address: **This must be the same email address as is stored on their customer record within Biz Core, typically this would be the email address they used when applying for the loan. If a customer cannot remember this email address users can find it by accessing their loan record inside Biz Core, their registered email can be found in the Customer widget on the top left:

- **Send verification code:** Once a customer enters their email address, they will be required to verify it by clicking this button, they will immediately receive an email with a verification code:

- **Verification Code: **After sending the verification email, a new field will appear, the customer must enter the code received via email then click **Verify code**:

- **(Confirm) New Password: **The customer must enter a password and confirm it, the password must meet contain at least 3 of the following to meet the criteria:
  - A lowercase letter
  - An uppercase letter
  - A digit
  - A symbol
- **Given Name: **They will be required to register by entering their First Name.
- **Surname: **The customer must also enter their Last Name to complete the registration process.
- **Create: **Once all the fields have been completed, the customer will click create, their browser will now immediately open their Customer Portal.

# **Using the Customer Portal**

## **Menu Bar**

The Menu Bar runs along the top of the Customer Portal, the name of the subscriber’s organisation will appear on the far-left and the customer’s name on the far-right:

- Clicking on the **Contact **✉️ icon in the Menu Bar will open a page with the subscription’s contact details:

- Clicking on their own name will open a dropdown menu, allowing customers to either **Log Out ⍈ **or click on **Profile **🪪 to view their saved personal information:

- The **Refresh **🔄 icon will update the page when clicked. For example, if a customer makes a payment through the Customer Portal, they may need to click the **Refresh **🔄 button before it is reflected on the page.** **

## **Navigation Bar**

The Navigation Bar runs along the left-hand side of the Customer Portal and is where users can navigate between **Loans **💲, **Applications **👤 and **Payments **↩️ by clicking on them:

### **Loans **💲 

This section will display any loans the customer currently has, with each loan being displayed as a card on screen:

Each section of a loan card is explained below:

- **Loan:** Next to the loan heading is the reference number associated with the loan within Biz Core.
- **Balance: **This is the current Total Balance owing on the loan.
- **Next Payment: **Displays the dollar amount of the next scheduled loan repayment.
- **Next Payment Date:** Lists the date the next repayment is due to be debited.
- **Status: **Shows the current status of the loan. Loan status' are [explained here](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1783890004/Records+%26+Statuses#Loan-Statuses).
- **Amount:** Displays the total amount of credit initially forwarded as the loan.
- **Loan Start Date: **The date the loan started.
- **Closed Date: **If the loan is closed, this will display the date of it’s closure.
- **Repayment Amount: **This is the usual scheduled repayment amount.
- **Repayment Frequency: **How often the repayments are scheduled (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, etc).
- **Arrears: **If there is an arrears balance on the loan it will be displayed here.
- **Make Payment: **Clicking this button will direct customers to a gateway where they can supply their card details and enter a payment amount to make an unscheduled payment towards the loan:

- **View Loan Statement: **Clicking this button will open a window with an up-to-date loan statement in a .pdf viewer. Customers can also download or email the statement from here:

- **Refinance: **Depending on the configuration of the Customer Portal, users may be able to click this icon to request refinancing of their current loan. Within the settings of the Customer Portal users can choose the minimum amount of time the loan has to be active before users can see this option, as well as the URL that customers are directed to after clicking the button.

### **Applications **👤

Depending on the configuration settings, users may see an **Apply Now** button in the **Applications **👤 section of their Customer Portal:

The icon will only become visible within a user-specified time frame after their last application. Clicking this button will redirect the customer to a URL of the subscriber’s choosing, and may also send a nominated email to an address.

This section will also display any applications the customer has submitted, with each seperate application being displayed as a card on screen:

Each section of the application card is explained below:

- **Application: **Next to the application heading is the reference number associated with the application within Biz Core.
- **App. Amount: **This will display the amount of credit requested in the customer’s application.
- **Applied Date: **The date the application was received.
- **Status:** Shows the current status of the application. Application status' are [explained here](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1783890004/Records+%26+Statuses#Application-Statuses).
- **Frequency: **Displays the repayment frequency requested during the application.
- **Loan Reason: **Shows the reason for the loan that was supplied in the application.
- **Loan Length: **The loan length requested by the customer during their application.
- **Provide Bank Statements: **Clicking the button next to the application reference number will allow the customer to send themselves a link via SMS and Email to provide their bank statements for the application assessment.

> ℹ️ Integration with Illion Bank Statements or Credit Sense required, and incurs a cost.

### **Payments **↩️

This section will display any payment agreements the customer currently has, with each separate agreement being displayed as a card on screen:

Each section of the payment card is explained below:

- **Payment: **Next to the payment heading is the reference number associated with the payment agreement within Biz Core.
- **Payments for Loan Reference:** This will display the reference number of the loan that the payment agreement is making repayments on.
- **Amount Paid:** Displays the dollar amount paid on the loan, as well as the total dollar amount owing, and the percentage of the total that has been paid.
- **Payment Method: **This will show the Account Name, and the last three digits of the BSB and Account Number of the account being debited for the agreement.
- **Next Payment:** The dollar amount of the next scheduled payment.
- **Next Payment Date: **The date of the next scheduled payment.
- **Payment Frequency: **How often the payments are scheduled (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, etc).
- **Status: **Shows the current status of the payment agreement. Agreement status' are [explained here](https://bizcore.refined.site/space/BCKB/1953202235/Payment+Statuses).
- **Creation Date:** The date the agreement was created and authorised.
- **Amount Paid: **Shows the total number of repayments and in brackets the total dollar amount of these repayments.
- **Failed: **Displays the total number of failed payments and in brackets the total dollar amount of these failed repayments.
- **Scheduled: **Shows the total number of scheduled repayments and in brackets the total dollar amount of these scheduled repayments.
- **Frequency: **Displays the payment frequency.
- **Payment Details:** Users can click this icon to display a ledger of their pending, complete and scheduled repayments.
